This is an art project of mine I did in a class based on this photo by Perhydrol.

My version is done on 14x17 paper with chalk pastel, and yes, I did get an A. :P Please go check out the rest of Perhydrol's photos, they are very nice. I feel the series with this model in particular is especially well done, personally.

Lines: 1 hour.
Chalks: Around 5 hours.
Cigarettes: 6 or 7, I can't remember.

They're not. The more we experiment with different mediums in this class, the more I realize that I am a pen artist. All of my detail is shown through pen inking. I did a chalk rendering of one of my drawings (I haven't uploaded it to dA yet, btw) and it just looks like major shit because i can't add pen to it. I'm starting to wonder if I'm going to pass this class or not. :/

You'll be fine, you're a good artist and I'm willing to bet your class has far worse in it if it's anything like when I took it. >-> How is it we go to a basically art school and that still happens??

I think that's why everyone is going here, for the most part.... I hear all these Fashion Design students saying, oh yeah I can sew and all that, but I can't draw. Maybe I'm just making it up? It seems that there are only a small few (at least the night students) that have any such talent, as well as any motivation to improve their drawing skills. So sad..... *shakes head*

Pretty much. ><; I won't be a night student anymore starting next quarter, though. I swear, they hate the people that have day jobs and such, it's ridiculous.

ya know? fuck, this is such bullshit. whoever came up with the scheduling for this next quarter can fucking blow me. i hope they know they're fucking pissing a LOT of people off by doing this. the reason we're night students, is, DUH, we aren't available to attend classes during the day for whatever reasons. how fucking stupid! UGH! I'M SO PISSED!!!!! can you tell? O.o;;;
